Nitrous Oxide

We offer nitrous oxide for the comfort of our patients. Nitrous oxide (also known as laughing gas) is a tasteless, odorless gas that is given through a small mask that covers the nose. Nitrous oxide may be beneficial for patients who are especially anxious or nervous about visiting the dentist.

Nitrous oxide sedation can help you feel at ease during your treatment and is very safe. The effects of nitrous oxide will wear off by the end of your visit, so you will still be able to safely drive yourself home.
